The map shows the cultivated area of Persian [Iranian] Seistan [Sistan]. The five districts of Miankangi, Pusht-i-Ab, Sheb-i-Ab, Mahal-i-Sharaki, and Mahal-i-Nahrui are indicated.

The map also includes hydrology, tracks, and some indication of relief.

The map is signed by Captain Edward Abadie Plunkett, of the 1st Battalion Lincoln [Lincolnshire] Regiment, in the Intelligence Branch, Quarter-Master General’s Department, 17 July 1903. It bears the printing statements ‘Intelligence Branch Topo Dy. No. 4.825 Exd. C. J. A. July 1903.’ and ‘No. 2,046-I., 1903.’
