3.
(a) In the following matters the Resident may
communicate direct with the Air Ofiicer
Commanding, "but he should take steps to ensure
that a copy of any communication which he
addresses to the Air Officer Commanding is sent
simultaneously to the Office of the High
Commissioner:-
(1) questions concerning the development of the
air route along the Araoian littoral of the
Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. ;
(2) Bequests for aircraft to be placed at tne
disposal of the Resident for his'transportation
by air;
(3} questions regarding the practicability,
from an air standpoint, of air action in given
circumstances in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. ; and
(4) All matters of detail.
(b) In the event of the Resident requiring air
craft from Iraq for operational purposes in the
Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. or in any matter that is likely to
affect the dispositions of such aircraft or of
Royal Air Borce personnel in Iraq, the Resident
should communicate with the High Commissioner for
Iraq.
(c) If at any time air operations are actually
in progress in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , the Resident
may communicate direct with the Air Officer
Commanding in Iraq but he should take steps, so
far as lies within his power, to ensure tnat the
High Commissioner for Iraq is kept fully
informed of all developments.
