This black and white photograph shows Muscat from one side of the bay, with Jiwani Fort on the left hand side of the image, and on the right hand side of the image the British Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. , the hospital and Assistant Surgeon’s quarters, and the Telegraphs and Customs buildings.

Inscriptions:
