o Z 7 ™- Yo j r t , eIe S ram unnumbered, dated 21st November. Subsidy for Bin
Sand. Tins and other proposals regarding Bin Sand are awaiting inter-departmental
meeting on general policy of H,s Majesty’s Government with regard to the Arabian
1 emnsula. It is hoped that the meeting will take place in the immediate future
Meanwhile, with reference to your statement in penultimate paragraph of your
telegram, that policy of subsidies is to be deprecated. Please telegraph your views
as to subsidies for Fahad deg, Bin Rashid and possible others whose positions are
important to the peace of Mesopotamian frontiers. Former is understood to be
already receiving subsidy. ue
