Dear Laithwaite ,
As I explained on the telephone, we find on
further investigation that our letter to you of March 4th
about the revision of Aitchison’s Treaties contains an
error, which crept in as a result of our taking on trust
the statement in the revised proof of that publication
that the Anglo-Turkish boundary convention of 1914 was
never ratified. Actually it appears that the Convention
was in fact ratified before the War, and we shall
therefore be grateful if you will substitute the
enclosed letter for that of March 4th originally sent
to you.
