The file concerns two items of correspondence relating to Zanzibar.
The first is an anonymous letter to the Sultan of Muscat and Oman (in Arabic, with English translation), dated 14 February 1901, concerning Hilal bin Amr, former Vizier to the Sultan of Zanzibar. The letter warns the Sultan that Hilal bin Amr, who was then in Oman, was intending to import arms from French-held Jibouti [Djibouti].
