The Secretary to the Government of India
in the Foreign & Political Department, Simla*
Dated, the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. , Nepal, the 6th October 1917.
Sir,
In continuation of my secret telegram of this date, I
have the honour to forward the following papers, which were
handed to me on 5th October by His Excellency the Prime
Minister of Nepal, when I visited His Excellency to acquaint
him with the contents of your very confidential letter
No.209-1.A./C♦ # dated the 29th September 1917. When handing
me these papers the Prime Minister informed me that Teja
Singh and his companion had left Nepal three days previqfS^ly.
(i) A note giving further details of Teja Singh 1 s
conversation with the Prime Minister’s Private
Secretary.
(ii) Personal descriptions of Teja Singh and his
companion Mohamed Omar.
The Prime Minister also informed me that he had
endeavoured to have Teja Singh and his companion photographed
without their knowledge, but had not been successful as they
would never remain still in a favourable position for
photography. He was still in hopes that a snapshot might be
taken of them as they passed the narrow barrier at Sisaghari
Fort. From the Prime Minister saying this I conclude that
the emissary has taken the usual route to India via Raxaul,
which passes through Sisa^ghari#
