“ .... with a view to remedying this state of things which has at last become intolerable
to His Majesty’s Government, I am instructed by His Majesty’s Principal
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to inform you that unless by three
months from now order has been restored to the satisfaction of His Majesty’s
Government upon the roads from Bushire to Shiraz, and from Shiraz to
Ispahan, which are the routes which have been marked by the most flagrant
outrages and disorders, His Majesty’s Government will be reluctantly com
pelled themselves to take such steps as may be necessary to secure the
proper policing of these roads.
“That the terms of this resolution be despatched immediately to such of His
Majesty’s Ministers and Local Members of Parliament as it may be deemed
desirable by the President to inform.”
If this is carried the requisitionists will ask for the despatch of this resolution to such of
His Majesty’s Ministers and Local Members of Parliament as it may be deemed desirable to
inform.

N.B.—No member shall have the right of voting at General Meetings of the Chamber or until the
expiration of three months after his election as a member of the Chamber.
No member shall be entitled to vote whose subscription is more than two months in arrear.
Admission to General Meetings shall be by ticket. Each individual member paying one guinea annual
subscription is entitled to one ticket; every partnership firm or joint stock company paying two guineas annual
subscription, two tickets ; and every bank and every corporation constituted by the combination of ten or more
firms or companies, and paying three or more guineas annual subscription, three tickets, with liberty to obtain,
on duly authorised application, additional tickets in the proportion of one ticket for each guinea (beyond three)
subscribed, but not to exceed twenty in all.
