Good road crossing several easy passes ; water from
springs on the way; Hie following villages are
passed at intervals -.“Masan, Afarian, Gumbata,
Alek : they all have water, trees .and cultivation.
lOarab has 60 houses.

The road is very bad and crosses some difficult passes
before it reaches Karajian valley (Nalshikeneh is
the worst): water from springs on the way ; the
, villages of Darabian and Kishlak Mnstur are
passed on the road with trees, water and cultivation. Rawansar is near the Halbaja Karman-
Good level plain road; Sadikahad, and Safi ahad
passed on road; wat er, cultivation and trees.

Leave Juanrud following the

a rough bridge of boughs ; the path follows the left bank of this stream to If miles, when it
ascends the lull above its left bank in a westerly direction. Cross some spurs beyond and des
cend to a small stream of water at 2| miles .- follow up its val ey to 3 miles cross and
ascend somewhat steeply a long spur to 4 miles ; on the further side of its ndge rs a spring
of good water ; to the north lies a deep valley, scored with precipitous i-avines, and the village
of Dehtueh 3 miles distant, skirting which traverse a spur and cross steeply a dry stony
ravine with high clay banks, at 6* miles; along the spur above is a Jro“i Kun Ba .an
south to Pawar north; drop into the valley of the Zallan stream and cross it at ^ e
10 yards wide and 12" deep, the water white with clay in solution. Follow up the uglit
bank of the stream to miles, when leave it and ascend affluent stream north-west
