The letter concerns goods that have been landed in Bushire and instructions concerning modifications that are to be made to the vessel Varuna , which is to be made ready to sail by 1 December 1806. It also outlines the terms and conditions for the possible use of the ship by the East India Company.

Includes one enclosure; a notice from R Dennison the owner and commander of the Varuna which signals his acceptance of the terms of the East India Company for the modification and use of his ship by said company.
