The letter is an acknowledgement of a communication dated 10 November 1807, which gave leave to copy a letter dated 7 November 1807 from the Superintendent of the Marine. The Resident further informs the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. that he has detained the HCC Teignmouth at Bushire and sent the HCC Nautilus direct to Bengal.
