The Neutral zone referred to in *rtlole One of the
Agreement to which this Appendix is annexed is the tract of
country and of the aea-bed contiguous therewith boundedi-
On the North by that part of the southern boundary of Kuwait
territory (as defined in the Kuwatt-tiejd boundary Jonvention
of 1922 ) which extends in an arc of a circle from north
latitude 29 ° to the coast south of t\a» al~jali 'ah and thence
continues alon^ that arc to the limit of the territorial waters
of Kuwait*
On the ffest by a low mountainous ridge called Uiaq (See ihaUfc)
Qn the &est by an imaginary line on the bed of the sea east
of and parallel to the coast of the Neutral Zone from the
enu of the eastern limit of the territorial waters of Kuwait
southern^to the northern end of the territorial waters of the
Kingdom ot Sejd (ae'udi Arabia).
On the ;outh by a line passing from lie si to Hieet fro® ihsq
(as .h*Kk) to «ln el 'Abd (^ln el . ba) and thence to the
coast north of use si dish'ab (>*»» Mlshnab) and thence east
to the eastern limit of the territorial waters at the southern
end of the above described eastern boundary of the Neutral zone
The Neutral *-one as above defined with the exception of the
sea-bed underlying the territorial waters thereof is coloured
red on the attached map
