Priority. Reference your telegram No. 145 (125?). I will send
original letter when post is safer. Have sent you a copy already.
As regards the concluding paragraph of your telegram, camps have been
transferred by sale to Persian Government and have been occupied by Persian
troops, but Indian telegraph establishment was still occupying telegraph offices
with quarter line inspector and staff in both hutted encampments.

The day after he arrived Colonel Ali Khan sent an excuse saying he
could not call on me as he had arranged to do. According to my information
he is prevented by Mahmud from seeing people alone.
When Ali Khan interviewed Misbah Diwan I understood that Mahmud
was also present.
There is a rumour that Cossacks will arrive to-day.
The new Revenue Director made his arrival yesterday.
