You must be aware that we have no intention of interfering in the internal
affairs of Boir Ahmadi, but the action on the part of Muzaffarullah Khan has
been extremely improper, because Nasrullah Khan was then the guest of the

We received your telegram regarding Nasrullah Khan, and we have
impressed the importance of the matter on the Commanders of the army, telling
them that they should in every possible way take active measures satisfy
Nasruliah Khan.
Up to the present we have received no news of the result of their efforts
and we have therefore sent another order to the army that they should accom
plish their object as quickly as possible.
We await a report of the situation and will then inform you accordingly.

Khans were going to be our friends and do the right thing by us. Am des
patching a copy of your despatch referred to also copy of this wire.

I discovered on returning to Bakhtiari that

Zafar was very disgusted
at the late invasion by Darashuri people He wanted to deal with the matter
in our interest more firmly than he has been able to do and bitterly resents
being done in by Mortaza Quli Khan and Shahab and made to accept compro
mises that would never have been considered by him if he had been in possession
of the couple of guns he had asked for. He has had great deal of harm done
to his interests in Burburud and Faraidun by the present Government in
Ispahan and the prestige of the opposite party has been greatly augmented,
reference Ispahan’s wire No. 272, Zafar says that Bakhtiari will not safeguard in
the event of Turks advancing until Ispahan is in his own hands.
It is doubtful whether the late Turkish advance has been naturally exagger
ated by the enemy here. The Ispahan Road brigands are almost in permitted
friendship with Mufakham and rumours are going round that a new policy
contrary to Bakhtiari interests is being brought in. Another most important
thing is there are famine prices here and
