A Mengal village, about 11 j miles from Nushki, on the road to Kharan.
The halting-place lies about a mile beyond the village near a karez
and tamarisk grove. Colonel Bell estimates that this village could supply
about one hundred cames and two hundred sheep. y
Fifteen huts. Headman-Muhammad Shah Khan ; inhabited by
Mohammedzais, a sub-section of the Mengals. (Bell—Roome ) *
AHMADZAIS—

of the Badini division, Zagar Mengals. [q.v.)
They do very little cultivation, but possess large numbers of camels •
also some sheep and goats, but not very many of the latter. (Maitland {

A well containing plenty of good sweet water on the road from
Bandigai to Bakal-i-Chah. This well is situated about i ooo yards from

Kharau and retreated to the Helmand, but are beginning to come back
