GUMBAZ-I-SHAH—
A heap of ruins in North-West Baluchistan, a few miles north-west of
the God-i-Zirreh. It consists of six buildings built in a line north-west and
south-east along the top of the ridge, and about 50 yards apart, facing
south-west. Each had been a square-domed building, about 40 feet square,
and the same height, all but the dome being of unburnt brick. They have
no pretensions to anv quaintness or beauty and are of the commonest
kind of structure. Apparently they must have been tombs, as theie aie
other graves scattered about on the ridge. acGregor.)
GUND l-GAUR—
A halting-place in the Amuri Kaur, the 3rd stage from Gat-i-Barot to
Sukaluk, some 30 to 35 miles from the former place. Water, fuel and
forage are said to be procurable. {Native injormation.)
GURGARAK or GURGAROK—Lat. 29 0 21'; Long. 64° 16'; Kiev.
A haltino’-place about 90 miles from Chagai and 55 from Sukaluk on
the route to the Helmand from Nushki. There is here a pit of water in
the bed of a ravine about feet by 4* feet with 1 foot depth of water.
The water is good and lies 4^ feet below the surface. It is doubtful if
water could be procured at any but this one point, where a rock ledge
nroieeting across the nala favours the interception of any moisture
draining down the bed. The bed of the ravine is only 50 yards wide
here and too contracted for camping-grounds. It is only practicable for
smaU parties of travellers. Fuel is plentiful, but camel-grazing scanty.

GUZEN ROD.— Lat. 28° 50' ; Long 63° 38'; Elev.
A nala-b^ crossed at 7th mile on the road fro in Gat to Mirni. Here
its banks are 15 feet high and it is 600 yards broad. Its bed is full of

GWANT REG—
A sand-hill in North-West Baluchistan, about a mile from Shah Ismail,
on the route from Nushki to Arbu. {Maitland.)
GWASH KOH—
A mountain north of the Kharan district. It is a continuation north
wards of the Raskoh range and is connected with the Koh-i-Shekh
Husain by a ridge called Daras or Draskoh. {MacGregor.)

A sorinff at the mouth of a small gorge that issues from the northern
slopes of the Shemidar range of hills. The mouth of the gorge is nearly
one and-a-half miles west of the Shemidar nala, where it turns north (*.<?.,
7 miles south of Kila Robat). The gorge runs for some distance into
the hills, is very narrow, and has precipitous hills on either bank, or a
distance of four hundred yards from its mouth there are a chain of sma
springs forming a small stream which finally disappears over a waterfall
some 30 feet in height. In spite of the ground all around being thickly
encrusted with shora the water is perfectly sweet.
