He is as feeble and contemptible in his character as he is in his appearance,
which closely resembles a khansama. During his absence from Chagai
his favourite wife hears the cases and settles disputes. The real man of
power in the Chagai district was the hereditary Naib, Dost Muhammad
Khan (Barech), whose family intermarried with the Sinjaranis three

A small fortified village about 12 miles west of Jalk. The post is said
to have been built by Mir Alam, the father of Dilawar Khan of Pizak.
Here there is a very fine karez rising in the plain north of the village;
only a small extent of ground is at present cultivated by means of this
water. There is a grove of date palms south of the village, and a great
deal more ground is capable of being utilized for cultivation. Dilawar
Khan placed Taj Muhammad, a Kalkali Rind, in this village as headman.
This man owns land at Magas.
One road passes through from Jalk to Gusht round the southern end
of the Safed Koh via, the Nuk-o-Dar plain. [Tate.)

tan. It lies on Lockwood’s route from Lai Khan Chah to Barab Cha ,
about .0 miles from Marak Chah. There ts nothmg here but a pool of
green water. About , i miles from this, m the d.recfon of Barab Chah,
is a well-marked track leading from Robat mi Sahan to Dalbandm.
