instant,I am direcueci hy Secreta.ry Sir E. Grey to
state that a telegram has been sent to His Majesty’s
Minister at Tear an to the effect that Major Hugh Gough
has been selected for the appointment of His Majesty's
Consul at Kermanshah during the war. i am to request
that the Government of India may he moved hy telegraph
to give the requisite instructions to Major Gough.
