Dated Delhi, the 5th January 1920.
Your letter No. 510, dated 6th August 1919. Office
allowance Shiraz Consulate.
The intention is that with effect from 15th. June 1916
and for future, you should account direct to Foreign Office
London not only for Fees and Office Allowance, hut also for
expenditure on account of Postages and Telegrams. The
schedules and vouchers relating to the latter heads of charge

for January 1917- June 1918.

Office an account of expenditure on Postage and Telegram
charges upto 31st December 1918, supported by vouchers. You
need not however draw any bills on London for this
expenditure, as corresponding debits have been and will be
raised by the Accountant G-eneral, Central Revenues. In this
connection the vouchers for Postage and Telegraph charges for
the quarters^30th September 1918 and 31st December 1918-
which you submitted to the latter officer-are also returned.
No vouchers relating to Postage charges for July to December
1916 and Telegraph charges for July to 15th ictober 1916
can be traced in the Accountant-Greneralfs Office, except
those relating to a debit of 361 krans and 02 sh. that
appealed in the Shiraz Accounts for July 1916 as Telegram
charges. These were forwarded to the Central War Controller
