I am obliged by the agreement for "PERSIA" ,
vrhi ch I return herewith#
It would not have been practicable for you to have
registered yourself as owner.
I suggest that a wise course to take, if you care for
a cheap edition, is to endeavour to get the agreement cancelled.
The book is out of print, and it would be as well for you to get
it wholly into your own hands.
A collected edition of your works, either de luxe , or
in cheap form, as you prefer, is, I submit, a proposition worthy
of your attention. I should at the same time suggest that no
tice should be given under the agreement for "PROBLEMS OP THE
PAR EAST" with Constables’.

I have communicated with Mr. Murray with respect to
him claim upon the Canadian market under his agreement. I
think it desirable that all points of view should be considered
before you make your final decision.
