explained that the Air Ministry were definitely opposed to
entering into any conu itment to protect Ibn baud.
hr. Wafcelv aug^e^ted that the treaty should be mde with
Ibn Saud personally and should not apply to ius dynasty,
and it was agreed that the question of making the treaty
personal to Ibn Saud or for a limited number of years
or for the duration of His Majesty’s Government’s
mandatory responsibility in the middle East would require
further consideration.
