Following telegram dated February 23rd received
from Political Bahrein. Begins. Information received believed
reliable that severe fighting recently occurred .etween Bin
Luwi and snerif. Bin S&ud he.e deviaed his forces partly under
Dawish at Hafar for moral effect on Iraq desert tribes .and
remainder under Bin Hamid of A1 Attaibeh at Ghatghat, four
days south west of Riyaadh. This force said to be under
orders to proceed to assistance of Bin Luwi against S ierif.
Addressed Baghdad repeateu Bushire Kowait Eads.
Bin Saud is now in Bassa. He hns juso sent
an unfavourable reply to High Commissioners telegram suggest
ing meeting between r ^resentatives of Iraq arid Hejm at
Mohanmerah or Kowaio forwarded with *y eadorsament 156-S,
