partment, India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. , London, for the information of His Majesty’s Secretary
of State for India, under cover of the Foreign Secretary’s letter No. 31-M., dated
the 17th April 1924.

regarding freight rates. ,

don (repeated to Tehran), No. 793-S., dated the 19th April 1924.
Reported on April 12 th by Baluchistan that evacuation of Duzdap and Khwash
is now complete. Small detachment Indian troops awaiting relief by detachemint
of Mekran Levy Corps are still at Mirjawa.
Serial No. 81. —Telegram from Western Command, Quetta, to tIie Chief of
the General Staff, Simla, No. 12936-15-G., dated the 12th April 1924.
Continuation my 12936-11-G.P., plst March. Troops withdrawn from Dnzdap
to Quetta 9 th April. Platoon remains in occupation Mirjawa pending relief by
Mekran Levy Corps. Latter delayed by floods. Liaison Officer reports Persians
have requested permission occupy barracks Duzdap. Matter will be dealt with
by Political who have been advised by me that we have no objection but Persians
should give receipt for buildings and material taken over.
