la. The political situation as regards o&rhad tribes and Barnpur
is as follows
Dost Muhammad is attempting to get a hold over the Damnis by
promise to meet oalar Hnjad near Khwash with a view to persuading
him to forgive them for the Jeruft raid and to cancel the demand
feu lest oration of the XO£ looted property* He has sent Bhahsowar
and Nur muhammad a verbal message that should the Persians press
ior the return of the loot they should move down towards Bampur.
The Damnis are said to have sent a verbal reply to Dost
Muhammad that they are prepared to fight the Persians.
Tne above information, which has already been reported by the
Indian assistant at Khwash in his diary for week ending 25th January
is confirmed by the report of an Intelligence Agent recently sent
from Duzdap to Sarhad.
