With reference to Foreign Office; letter of October 25th (Serial No. 129)i,,
relative to the disposal of the Mirjawa-Duzdap section of the Nushki exten
sion railway, I am directed by the Marquess Curzon of Kedleston to transmit
to you, to be laid before Viscount Peel, the accompanying copies of telegrams
exchanged with His Majesty’s Minister at Tehran.
2. His Lordship will observe that Sir P. Loraine in the last paragraph
of his telegram, No. 391 of November 28th (Serial No. 138) enquires whether
it is the intention of the Government of India to withdraw their military
detachments from Duzdap and Khwash as soon as Persian measures to
restore order in South-East Persia shall have become effective.
3 . I am to ask to be informed whether the Secretary of State is right
in assuming the answer to that question to be in the affirmative.
