I, Mahomed bin Abdullah bin Maneh, am certain on the following points:
* I am authorized by Imaum Abdullah bin Fysul to request the Sahib, the Re
sident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , to become the medium of friendship between Imaum
Abdullah bin Fysul and the British Government;
Secondly—\ assure the Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. on the part of Imaum
Abdullah bin Fysul that he will not oppose or injure British subjects residing in
territories under the authority of Abdullah bin Fysul; and
Thirdly.—^ assure the Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. on the part of Imaum
Abdullah bin Fysul that he will not injure or attack the territories of the Arab
tribes in alliance with the British Government, specially on the Kingdom of Mus
cat, further than in receiving the zukat that has been customary of old.

Treaty Between the British Government and ’Abdul ’Aziz bin ’Abdur
Rahman bin Faisal Al-Sa’ud, Ruler of Najd, El Hassa, Qatif, etc.,
dated the 26th December 1915.
Preamble.
The High British Government on its own part, and Abdul ’Aziz bin ’Abdur
Rahman Bfrf Fait«fl Al-Sa’ud, Ruler of Najd, El Hassa, Qatif and Jubail, and the
towns and ports belonging to them, on behalf of himself, his heirs and successors,
and tribesmen, being desirous of confirming and strengthening the friendly rela
tions which have for a long time, existed between the two parties, and with a view
to consolidating their respective interest—the British Government have named
and appointed Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Percy Cox, K.C.S.I., K.C.I.E., British
Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , as their Plenipotentiary, to conclude a treaty for
this purpose with ’Abdul ’Aziz bin ’Abdur Rahman bin Faisal Al-Sa ud.

This part relates to the Government of India's decision to issue a revised edition of Aitchison's Treaties (full title: A Collection of Treaties, Engagements and Sanads Relating to India and Neighbouring Countries ), with revised narratives for each geographical area covered, incorporating the principal events that have occurred since the publication of the previous edition in 1909.

The part contains two copies of proofs for the following revised narratives: Treaties and Engagements Relating to the Arab Principalities in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. (ff 305-328 and ff 617-640) and Treaties and Engagements Relating to Oman (Muscat) (ff 406-422 and ff 641-657). Also included are copies of related treaties, agreements, and correspondence for the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. (ff 329-405 and ff 540-616) and Oman sections (ff 423-477 and ff 485-539), which cover the periods 1806-1927 and 1798-1928 respectively.

The proofs are accompanied by interdepartmental correspondence discussing the contents of the narratives, and the possibility of amendments and additions being made, such as for the parts entitled 'The Wahabis and Nejd' and 'Kuwait' in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. section. In addition, the correspondence discusses the question of whether to include recently concluded agreements with Mohammerah [Khorramshahr] and Kuwait in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. section. Also included is a list of anomalies and misprints that have been identified in the proofs.

The main correspondents are as follows: the Foreign Secretary to the Government of India; officials of the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947.
