all and every interference with the said telegraphic operations that may be carried
oa by the said British Government in or near our territory.
And in the event (which Goa forbid) of any of o,.r subjects oi dependents com
mitting an act of aggression or trespass on the said telegraphic 1 incs and static*
or other telegraphic material, we will immediately punish the offender and pro-
cee to afford full redress upon the same being brought to our notice-.
ihe Telegraphic line being intended for the common good, our subjects and
ependants shall be permitted to send messages by the Telegraph at such rates of
payment as may be paid by British subjects.

Agreement of the Aboo Dhebbee Chief engaging not to commit any breach o*
the Maritime Peace, 18G8.
I, Zavid bin Khalifeh, do hereby, in the presence of Colonel Felly, Resident?
ersian G uk, bind myself and agree to the conditions stated below
i.sf. That hereafter I should not commit any disturbances whatsoever in
reach of the peace at sea, but if an}’ happen on my part I should suffer the conse-
d-ience.
2nd .—That I should pay to the Resident the sum of twenty-five thousand
tolars by instalments specified below :—
b .000 Dollars to be paid at once in cash on this the 28th Jumadi-ool-awul 1285 — 16th
September 1868.
-.000 Dollars to be paid in the month of Mohurrum 1285, and
8,000 Ditto ditto ditto Rujjub 1286. (

return to their homes if they should so wish.
