HOTEL LS PARIS
MOHTE CARLO
13th March, 1930
My dear Hirtzel,
I have your letter of 10th this morning*
We will arrange to meet the convenience of the Government
of India hy letting the fast steamers call at Bahrein
Both out and home* As our Mail Contract is with the
Indian Postal Department it would regularise things if
an official suggestion were in due time to he made by
the Director General to the Company in regard to the
matter and the timetable agreed between him and the Company.
Perhaps you would arrange for this to be done, but you
may take it there will be no difficulty put in the way
by us.
I am sending a copy of your letter to my partner in
Calcutta with copy of my reply telling him to keep the
matter absolutely secret.
Many thanks my wife is progressing but it is a slow
business and I can f t well leave her alone. I hope she
may be able to get as far as Paris on 5th April and I
will be over in London on the evening of 7th.
Yours sincerely,
