Currency La?/. After explaining the benefits of this
Bill the Minister for Finance stated that it was
inconvenient for the finances of a State to be based upon
a foreign currency. It would be a moral and economic
advantage for the T Iraq nation to have a national currency.
The Minister for Economics and Communications
explained the valuable benefits of this Bill and asked
the Chamber to pass it. He added that the present

no doubt affect the value of the rupee. Consequentlyif
Indian currency was retained in ’Iraq the country's
finances would be liable to be influenced by external
political events over which ’Iraq had no control. He
spoke about the headquarters of the Currency Board and said
