Sir, v v ^
I have the honour to report that ,1 have it from a credible
source that the new Persian Chief Quarantine Medical Officer
at Bushire, Doctor Abdullah Khan Moin, who took over from Lieut,
Colonel Dickson, M.C., I.M.S., on the 4th August last, has
been giving out to his friends that he has no intention whatso
ever of remaining in Bushire owing to the great heato He
prefers Shiraz, he says in every way and hopes shortly to
arrange for another Doctor to come and relieve him here. In
this reference see my endorsement No.310-So, dated 12th Septr.
1927. We shall have to be watchful with regard to the officer
who relieves Dr. Moin should he succeed in his attempt to leave
the climate of the Gulf.
The tendency will be for less and less qualified men to
be appointed on lower pay.
Doctor Abdullah Khan’s emoluments, it is reported, have
been fixed as follows :-
Pay Ts 200/- per mensem.
