Government are prepared to agree to the transfer
of quarantine control in the Gulf to the Persian
nupriorities, on the understanding however that
satisfactory arrangements shall be made for handing
over (this is Important in view of India's
responsibilities under the International Sanitary
-onventioii), and tnat a11 Possible steps will be taken
to secure that so long as British doctors remain in
