As fan as we are concerned here the epidemiological’
information as supplied in the Weekly Fasciculus meets our
requirements as regards to all countries except those in
inmediate vicinity i.e. Iraq and India.
3y a recent arrangement Iraq now supplies me with a Q -
weekly report of all epidemic disease occurring in the country.
This is supplied through the Port Health Officer, Basra and
tne figures reach me are those of .the preceding fortnight. This
infomation is sufficiently recent to be of extreme use in many
ways.
As regards India. I receive a weekly statement of the
Health of Karachi from the Health Officer of that town. The
figures as they reach me are those of the preceding fortnight
and are sufficiently recent to be useful but they are useful
only in so far as -they refer only to Karachi town. It wonld
te useful to have a weekly summary with recent figures of
health conditions of the hinterland of Karachi (Sind). The
Kathiawar Ports (Cutch and Kathiawar) Bombay (The Konkan) but
to oe of any use the information should be recent and the only
method of attaining this would be for the Health Officers
concerned to forward their reports to me direct.
