I have the honour to bring to your notice with reference
to your telegram No. 1319/225 dated 6th June 1925 in which
you state "order have been Issued for payment of pay for
the month of Urdibehesht.Necessary measures have been taken
for the^ayment of the quarantine budget regularly”*
I beg to infom you that up to date the quarantine

service has only received payment for the months of Favardine
add Urdibehesht*
The provincial director of custims has been approached In
my number 116 dated 11th July for the payment of at least the
month of Khordadjbut he replies in his No*Nil dated 21st Tir
1304 that although sanction for payment has been asked for
from Tehran telegraphically no answer &a8 as yet been received.
1 would beg to point out to you the extreme importance of
regular and punctual payment of the qu rantine service if it
is to act efficiently and to keep.as in the past,epidemic
disease from entering Persia by her Southern sea frontier.
(l) to attain this end the present system of examination of
vessels entering the anchorage and harbours on arrival,and
the inspection of their passengers for Persia before they dls-
embark must be rigorously maintained
