days have elapsed since the date of leaving the last infected

4. No person is allowed to board any vessel before it has
been inspected by a Quarantine Medical Officer and declared
free from infectious disease except those who intend
travelling on the same vessel and those who have obtained
special permission from the quarantine doctors.
5. Persons violating these regulations or any other rules for
the better carrying out of these regulations which the Chief
Quarantine Medical Officer may introduce from time to time
shall be liable to punishment with fine or imprisonment or
bath.
6. For the purpose of these regulations the Chief Quarantine
Medical officer, and the Quarantine Staffs subordinate to
him shall be regarded as public servants within the meaning of
Section 21 of the Indian Penal Code.
I. Special measures may be introduced from time to time to
guard against particular dangers such as may arise from the
outbreak of cholera or plague at any of the Gulf ports.
8. The Imperial Persian Government has, with the concurrence
of the Indian Government, appointed the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. Surgeon in
