Map of the northern tip of Hanjam [Jazīreh-ye Hengām] in the Gulf, showing the British telegraph office and coal deport (highlighted), as well as the surrounding area, including part of Kishm Island [Qeshm Island]. The map indicates settlements and hydrology, and provides some indication of relief.
The map is part of an Admiralty chart comprising three maps, which is entitled 'Plans in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. '. Statements at the top and bottom of the sheet indicate that this map and one other on the sheet were originally surveyed in 1914 and published 1916.
