Your telegram 1098. Ab regards possibility,
Persian sloops can be docked at Karachi, but doubtful
if ('f refitting,) especially as regards gunnery end
electrical items could be carried out there. Docks
are suitable and available in the Royal Indian Marine
■Dockyard, Bombay, and would be far preferable to
Karachic As regards desirability,, can see no naval
objections, but am unaware of general policy in this
respect and have asked the Admiralty for their views,
which will be oommunioated as soon as receivedo My own
opinion, with which their Lordships may not agree, is
that facilities should not be offered officially until
asked for, and then only granted in exchange for extending

The majority of the correspondence in this part is internal correspondence between British officials, but it also contains a limited amount of correspondence that was exchanged between the two sides.
