Treasurers have been appointed at the above places, and the duties of (1) receiving the
above amounts from the Governors of the respective countries, (2) to the distribution of pay
monthly to the troops, and (3) the submission of accounts to the Ameer, have been assigned
them. The pay of the levies, or irregular troops, will however be distributed by the officers
(Civil Governors).’
