has just handed me a telegram he received yesterdny from Abdoollah-
ibn-Eeysul, announcing his arrival in camp at El-Hassa on 25th ultimo. His
Excellency says all going on well there.

From —Herbert, Bagdad.
To—Foreign Secretary, Simla.
News received that Saood, supported by all the Nejd tribes, is marching on
Lahsa, and has sent word to Turkish General calling on him to withdraw;
that four regiments are to march against Nejd from Yemen; that the exiled
Bahrein Chiefs are with Turkish General under his protection. Despatches
hence of reinforcements contemplated.

Information received from Colonel Herbert, dated 19th, that Saood,

Turkish General to withdraw. Pour regiments to march against Nejd from
Yemen. Exiled Bahrein Chiefs with Turkish General under protection. Des
patch of reinforcement from Bagdad contemplated. Please communicate to
Colonel Belly and get further reliable news.
