Aeter compliments,—A boat belonging to Abdoollah ben Subah, Chief
of Kowait, arrived yesterday among the Kowait pearl boats. The boat was
armed, but nothing irregular was done by her, and she had no communication
with the Bahrein pearl boats. All the Kowait boats returned with the armed
boat towards the Turkish ships.

(a). From further enquiry, it appears that these Banyans, on the approach of Turkish expedition, proposed going away ;
hut Saood ben Faysul’s Ameer at Kateef begged they would stay as British subjects ; leaving, would have an alarming
effect. So soon as I can get further accurate information from Bahrein Banyans, I will write to Kateef, if necessary, for
Banyans to be permitted to go their way, or take whatever course seems needful for their protection.
