, Her Majesty’s Steam-sliip Bullfinch arrived at Bashire from a cruize on
the 11th and left on the 16th.
The Turkish Steam-ship Babel arrived at Bushire from Jeddah on the
12th and left the same day for Bussorah.
Another British Steamer Mesopotamia has arrived at Bushire from England
via the Suez Canal.
The poor in the town of Bushire are increasing daily, and many deaths
take place from starvation. Money is distributed to them from the Besidency,
but is not sufficient to satisfy all who apply for relief.
