is it krans or dollars? And send me 1,000 instead of 1,000 kians. I showed Sheik Eysa
E. c. —l. p. a letter from Mahomed bin Tani, stating that until )
Rashid bin Jubbur received his 4,000 krans, he, Mahomed bin Tani, could not
obtain the needful receipt which he had afterwards forwarded to the Resident.
Nothing more was then said.
20. The appended p?°ecis compiled from information furnished by Captain
Downing, and Chief of Bahrein’s and other statements to me show that
Sheik Eysa disapproved Abdul Raheem, Chief of the At Sibat’s stopping Guttur
boats, and caused their immediate release. The complaint that Abdul Raheem
robbed the crew of their clothes seems doubtful.
21. The Chief of Bahrein has arranged to submit all claims between
Banians and Arabs to the “ Salfeh ” of merchants, with reference to Law Court
in cases of disagreement. I have called on the Banians to support this arrange
ment. A letter from the Chief to your address is enclosed.
