I cannot r tain men under A.0.55 for this purely civil work
but am hound to demobilise them. Some will take their
discharger, in India and cone out again as civilians at once.
Others will go home and may or may not return as civilians.
These men would take their discharges locally and be
employed as civilians wore the railways under civil contrdl
and I now propose to a&oot this plan. I shoulo, be glad
of earliest confirmation of action as shipping
aocomnodation for British ranks ex Ilesorotamia is drawing
to an end.
