lowing brief Summary of the proceedings of the past Session :—
ANNUAL REPORT.
During the last Session the Society met four times, and the follow
ing were the papers read before them :—
1. Mr. Rassam’s Mission to the Emperor Theodorus of Abyssinia ;
account of events from 28th January to 22nd March 1866. Contributed
by Government.
2. Report by Hr. Colvill on the progress of Cholera during the
past season on the borders of the
Persian Gulf

land journey from Bushire to Lingah. By Government.
3. Copy of a letter from the
Political Agent
A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency.
