(e) The Secretary of State for the Colonies
should mane every effort to effect an
Extradition Agreement between the
Governments of Iraq and Najd.
(f) Ibn Saud should be infomed that it
is proposed immediately to consider
the reorganisation of the adminis
tration of the desert tribes.
(g) The appointment by Ibn Saud and the
Government of Iraq of accredited
representatives on either side of
the frontier should be proposed to
Ibn Saud.
(h) Sir Gilbert Clayton should himself
return to resume conversations with
Ibn Saud, both as an act of courtesy
and on account of Sir Gilbert’s friendly
relations with him.
(i) It might simplify Sir Gilbert Clayton’s
task if Ibn Saud were to be given a
present, nreferably a personal gift,
from the King. Sir Gilbert Clayton
should be asked to submit his sug
gestions in regard to this
fee aim en da t i on.
The Cabinet agreed --
(I) To approve the above recommendations
of the Prime Minister’s Sub-Committee
of the Committee of Imperial Defence:
(II) That in regard to recommendation (i)
Sir Gilbert Clayton should be
authorised to spend up to £5CO on a
present or presents to Ibn Saud,
not fran His Majesty, but from the
Government.
