With reference to War Office letter No*
(h tVj 0152/5635 (E*!.) of the 28th October addressed to
this Department on the subject of the repatriation
of Mesopotamian officers expelled from Syria, I am
directed by Earl Curzon of Kedleston to invite
the attention of Mr. Secretary Montagu to your
letter No. P6756 of the 16th September in which it
was pointed out that the High Commissioner, Baghdad,
was in favour of the repatriation of these officers,
and it was, therefore, suggested that action should
be taken at once without reference to the incidence
of cost*, which might be considered later after
consultation between the Departments concerned.
