Abstract of Contents.
With reference to Foreign Depart
ment letter No. 1720P., dated 7th
August 1872, forwards, for certification,
three copies of the engagement with
the Foodhlee Chief for buying up his
right to levy transit dues, and submits a
proposal to grant the Chief a couple of
guns.
In continuation of the foregoing letter
reports the refusal of the Yafaee Chief
to carry out the Convention concluded
between himself and the Foodhlee Chief
in May 1872.
Communicates the orders of the
Government of India on the above
matters.
