Content: Letter from HM Chargé d'Affaires to Persia [Iran], Henry Willock, in Oojaun [Ujan], to the Secret Committee Pre-1784, the Committee responsible for protecting East India Company shipping. Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy. of the East India Company, of 10 September 1825, which was received on 14 November 1825. The letter originally enclosed a copy of a letter from the East India Company Envoy to Persia, Lieutenant-Colonel John Macdonald Kinneir, to the Chief Secretary to the Supreme Government of India, George Swinton, of 12 April 1825, in which he clarifies the intent of certain passages contained therein (now catalogued as IOR/L/PS/9/70/38).
