Krasnovodsk. June 1st. —600 Infantry, 200 Cavalry ; mostly Muhammadans. 6 guns,

Takhta Bazar. June 3rd. —1,400 Infantry, 600 Cavalry; mostly Muhammadans. 9

At Murachak ; 450 troops with one gun.

Rhojent. June 2nd. 2,000 Infantry, 400 Cavalry ; mostly Muhammadans. Regiments
are 3rd Turkistan (Commander Muhammad Jo wan, a Tartar), 12th Tashkent (Commander
Alexr. Zoyoff) 6 guns, 4 machine guns, 1 armoured car, 2 planes.
Marghilan. June 1st. — 5,000 Infantry, 2,000 Cavalry ; mostly Muhammadans. 18 guns,

Orenburg. May 27th. —3,550 Infantry, 450 Cavalry. Regiments are 9th Orenburg,

Arrival of the Chinese Diplomatic Mission.
Moscow, 2lth May. The Chinese Republican Mission has arrived at Moscow. Jan
Jour in an interview with journalists, stated that the Mission intended to establish diplomatic
relations between China and Soviet Russia which would bind and strengthen both Empires.
BULGARIA.
Big Revolutionary events.
Warsaw, 22nd May. — According to news from Sofia, great revolutionary events are
happening. From several sources we hear that the workers who are directing the Communistic
Party have joined the Peoples Party. The news gives the announcement of a Bulgarian
Republic, and the running away of King Boris.
A conspiracy has been disclosed by the Government organised against them by the
‘ ‘ Guest ’ ’ of Bulgaria, Wrangel. Later. Official Bulgarian news shows up Wrangel’s tricks
in trying to make a kingdom within a kingdom, and the result of this is that the Bulgarian
Government was forced to disarm the followers of Wrangel, and make arrests to suppress the
leaders of the White Guards.
130 of the White Guards have already been arrested, including Wrangel’s chief officer
Samokfalov, General Popov, Colonel Pavlenko, Lubomerov and General Shadlov, the hero of
Wrangel’s army. General Kutepov was arrested in a house in Sofia

They are initially issued by the British Military Mission, Meshed [Mashhad, also known as Mashad or Meshad], and later by the Military Attaché, Meshed. The intelligence summaries, and diaries, relate to political, foreign, military and diplomatic affairs in the locality and the neighbouring regions and are variously arranged under (chiefly) the following headings: 'Khorasan and North-East Persia'; 'Herat and Afghanistan'; 'Russian Turkistan'; 'Khorasan'; 'Cis-Frontier'; 'Trans-Frontier'; 'Afghanistan'; 'Bolshevik Garrisons'; 'Local'; 'Transcaspia'; 'Bokhara'; 'Tashkent'; 'Central Russia'; 'Khiva'; 'Ferghana'; 'General'; and 'Samarkand'. The summaries often include appendices which are usually extracts of local and national newspapers published in the regions and countries of interest, including Nabat , Rosta , Izvestia , Ittifaq-i-Islam , Bednota, Prolitarii , Sharq-i-Iran, and Pravda . Other appendices contain details of Bolshevik Garrisons in the region.
