THE PRESENT OBJECT OE THE COMMUNIST PARTY OE
BOLSHEVIK PERSIA.
III.—International Communist Conference {Persian Branch), 1921.
Central Committee’s Publications.
The Great War which was started with the object of overthrowing the
dominions of others has proved in the end that the oppressed classes of the
East cannot live in peace and comfort while the system of Capitalism exists in
their countries.
The dastardly English and Trench not only made hostile incursions into
the territories of the Germans, Turks, and Austrians but also pillaged and
laid waste the countries of those who were fighting for them shoulder to
shoulder.
. The Arabs foolishly joined the Allies to get help in order to secure
independence and freedom, but instead they became victims of English and
Erench bayonets. The English acquired Hejaz and Egypt for the Arabs while
the Erench laid hold of Eals and Tunis.
Similarly, the English and Erench armed Russians against the Soviet
Government (which is composed of workmen and the oppressed classes) for three
years. They provided the Poles with munitions in order to exterminate the
free and independent workmen of Russia. The aim of these workmen is to
remove from the face of the earth the steel built forts of Imperialism.
, Are the hundred million Indians, Chinese, and Arabs really free
ana independent ? J
Will the world conquerors, the British, French, Japanese, and Americans
ever desist from their evil deeds and objects ?
No, it is not so, it never will be so, as it never has been so up to the
present. It is folly to expect justice at the hands of the Capitalists. No one
is at any time prepared to recognize the Tribunal of Thieves.
Yet never in the history of the world has any country been such a victim
of this group of Imperialists as has this our nation and country of Persia.
So wealthy a country as Persia, which possesses oil fields, coal and iron
mines, gold, silver, and turquoise mines, and which could easily stand beside
the advanced countries of Europe and could have made her present generation
lead a free and happy life, is to-day victimized by these Capitalists and
because of their policy, is burdened with an insupportable debt. The nation
which was at the summit pf the whole world in point of wisdom and ability is
to-day in a pitiable condition and its people are perishing of hunger and want
of clothes.
The v orld conquerors, the British and the Russians, pursued to
great lengths their diplomatic conflicts for the possession of the national wealth
of Persia. . They strangled the economic progress of Persia. Nor were they
content with the results of their diplomacy for, in the end, they divided
Persia into two parts, each taking a half. They made the Shah of Persia
live on an allowance, like a policeman or a servant!
After the Great Revolution in Russia and the abolition of the dynasty of
the Tsars, the British saw their opportunity and took advantage of the times, over
whelming the whole of Persia. With the help of the Shah and the landlords
they made Persia their own dominion. The Anglo-Persian Agreement was
signed by the unrighteous hands of treacherous ministers and by it were
the British made owners of the whole country.
About this item
- Content
The item consists of Part 1 of the subject file 1341/1921: 'Meshed Consular & Intelligence Diaries (1921-1922)'.
It contains numbered periodical (mainly weekly) reports relating to Persia [Iran], initially each called an 'Intelligence Summary' and later called a 'Meshed Intelligence Diary'. The reports cover the period of the week ending 1 January 1921 to the period ending 1 January 1923. They are initially issued by the British Military Mission, Meshed [Mashhad, also known as Mashad or Meshad], and later by the Military Attaché, Meshed. The intelligence summaries, and diaries, relate to political, foreign, military and diplomatic affairs in the locality and the neighbouring regions and are variously arranged under (chiefly) the following headings: 'Khorasan and North-East Persia'; 'Herat and Afghanistan'; 'Russian Turkistan'; 'Khorasan'; 'Cis-Frontier'; 'Trans-Frontier'; 'Afghanistan'; 'Bolshevik Garrisons'; 'Local'; 'Transcaspia'; 'Bokhara'; 'Tashkent'; 'Central Russia'; 'Khiva'; 'Ferghana'; 'General'; and 'Samarkand'. The summaries often include appendices which are usually extracts of local and national newspapers published in the regions and countries of interest, including Nabat , Rosta , Izvestia , Ittifaq-i-Islam , Bednota, Prolitarii , Sharq-i-Iran, and Pravda . Other appendices contain details of Bolshevik Garrisons in the region.
