requires confirmation. Includes 400 cavalry of 1st Turkistan and 400 Young
Bokharan troops. Cavalry is cantoned in Old Charjui. Guns 3. Military
Commander, Musa Khanov. City Komissar, Ayeinov, a Jew. O. C. Young
Bokharans, Safarov. Personnel, Amu Darya Flotilla, 900 to 1,200, mostly
local tribes, but number probably exaggerated. Commander, Nikolaev.

The summaries often include appendices which are usually extracts of local and national newspapers published in the regions and countries of interest, including Nabat , Rosta , Izvestia , Ittifaq-i-Islam , Bednota, Prolitarii , Sharq-i-Iran, and Pravda . Other appendices contain details of Bolshevik Garrisons in the region.
